Nou dat ben ik! Lisanne Davids, 30 jaar en ik woon samen met man Endre, dochter Maxime van 1 jaar en Chip de hond, in Utrecht.
Ik studeerde Kunst- en Cultuurwetenschappen aan de Erasmus Universiteit in Rotterdam en werkte achtereenvolgens bij de AVRO, jeugdtheaterhuis Het Lab en de afgelopen vier jaar bij SURF waar het vooral over ICT in het hoger onderwijs ging. Allemaal leuk en aardig, maar het kriebelde al een tijdje om wat voor mezelf te starten in de creatieve branche.
Januari 2014 was het juiste moment en kon ik al mijn aandacht op mijn nieuwe plannen richten. Ik houd van mooie beelden, online, in huis en op producten. Daar wilde ik iets mee! Voor Printed Stories ga ik dan ook op zoek naar mooie items van illustrators. Kleinschalig en direct ingekocht bij de illustrator. Ik krijg er superveel energie van en hoop straks met de producten in de shop ook veel mensen blij te maken.
Naast het werk voor Printed Stories vind ik nog een heleboel andere dingen leuk, waar het met een kleine hummel in huis, soms wel wat lastig tijd voor vinden is. Zo ga ik graag de stad in, op zoek naar leuke plekjes, nieuwe restaurantjes met goed eten of lekkere koffie. Uitwaaien in het bos of op het strand met de hond. Lekker koken en naar de kinderboerderij met Maxime. Afspreken met vriendinnen om na een avondje gezellig kletsen weer helemaal geïnspireerd thuis te komen.

Who's behind this nice idea for a shop?
Well that's me! Lisanne Davids, 30 years old and I live with my husband Endre, daughter Maxime (1year old) and Chip, our dog, in Utrecht.
I studied Art and Culture Studies at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and worked at the AVRO, Youth Theater House Het Lab and the past four years at SURF (ICT in higher education).
Lately I was thinking about starting my own business. January 2014 was the right time and I was able to focus completely on my new plans. I love beautiful pictures and images, online, at home and on products. I wanted to do something with it!
For Printed Stories I will search for beautiful products of illustrators all over the world. No big amounts and directly purchased from the illustrator to sell in the shop. I get a lot of great energy and hope to make a lot of people happy with the products in the shop.
Besides working for Printed Stories I like a lot of other things. Although with a little one around the house it's sometimes a bit difficult to find time for it. So I like going into town, looking for nice places, new restaurants with good food and great coffee. Going into the woods or to the beach with the dog. Cooking nice dinners and watching sheep and chickens with Maxime on the farm. Meeting up with friends and come home totally inspired after a night chatting.
